Several decades ago, it was difficult to imagine how important micro/nanoscale systems would become in our daily lives, now playing critical roles in cell phones, automotive safety, and an array of biomedical devices. This workshop will explore breakthrough technologies and new applications on the horizon enabled by micro/nanoscale advances. These developments span a diversity of areas, including energy, biotech/medicine, electronics, optics/photonics, micro/nanomanufacturing, and sensors and actuators. Through both oral and poster presentations, this workshop will provide a unique opportunity for researchers and entrepreneurs across industry, academia, and governmental labs to discuss these emerging frontiers and begin collaborations to make them a reality.
